This instrument is suitable for determining the maximum and average pore sizes of filter paper.It adopts the Bubble Point Method. The principle is based on capillary action: air is forced through the pores of the material wetted by a liquid. The pressure required to expel the liquid from the largest pore and generate the first bubble is measured. Using the known surface tension of the liquid at the measurement temperature and applying the capillary equation, the maximum and average pore sizes of the specimen can be calculated.

Scope of Application

1. This instrument is suitable for determining the maximum and average pore sizes of filter paper.

Instrument Features

This instrument features a compact size, lightweight design, and easy portability. It utilizes advanced electronic technology with presettable parameters. A large LCD screen displays the pressure value and automatically calculates and displays the pore size value. Every operation interface includes text prompts for simple operation. A printer outputs the pore size value for each specimen and the average value for a group (up to 10 specimens per group).
