The Water Resistance Tester is mainly used to determine the water resistance performance of contact wound dressings (specifically for the capability of withstanding 500mm static water pressure for 300 seconds).

Applicable Scope:
The Water Resistance Tester is mainly used to determine the water resistance performance of contact wound dressings (specifically for the capability of withstanding 500mm static water pressure for 300 seconds).

Compliance Standards:
Complies with YY/T 0471.3-2004.

Technical Parameters:

1. Liquid Level Scale: 500 mm

2. Clamp Inner Diameter: 50 mm

3. Clamp Depth: 40 mm

4. Clamp Outer Diameter: 80 mm

5. Water Pipe Inner Diameter: 10 mm

6. Water Pipe Height: 550 mm

Test Procedure:

1. The prepared samples should be free of wrinkles.

2. Fill the pool with purified water at a temperature of (21 ± 2)℃.

3. Place the sample on the lower ring using a horizontal sliding motion, ensuring there is no air trapped between the water surface and the lower surface of the sample.

4. Cover the upper surface of the sample with dry filter paper that is larger than the test area. Place the upper ring on top and tighten it using the threaded device.

5. Fill the tube with water until the water level reaches the required height above the sample surface.

6. Maintain this water pressure for (300 ± 10) seconds.

7. Check if there is any water seepage on the filter paper that has passed through the sample and record the results.

Evaluation of Test Results:
Inspect the filter paper for any water seepage through the sample and record the results. If any one of the three samples shows water seepage, the test is considered failed.
