Products integrating multiple functions such as UV protection, cool-touch sensation, moisture absorption and quick-drying, cold protection and warmth retention, antibacterial properties, oil and stain resistance have gradually appeared in consumers'视野 according to market demand. As these questions arise, the standard **GB/T 41788-2022 "Multifunctional knitted products"** provides the answers. **II. What is Multifunctional? What are Multifunctional Knitted Products?**
* **Multifunctional:** Possessing two or more functions (excluding the conventional protective and decorative properties of garments and accessories).
* **Multifunctional Knitted Products:** Knitted products made from fabrics possessing two or more functions, where such fabrics account for 70% or more of the total area; or knitted products assembled by joining two or more different types of functional fabrics, where the total area of these functional fabrics accounts for 70% or more of the total area.
* Note 1: If the product has multiple layers, the cumulative functions of the different layers shall reach two or more, and the area of functional knitted fabric in each layer shall account for 70% or more of the total area.
* Note 2: Multifunctional knitted products typically include knitted garments, knitted accessories, and knitted fabrics.
**III. What Products are Included in Multifunctional Knitted Products?**
Based on product use, they can generally be classified into the following three categories:
1. **Knitted Garments:** e.g., underwear, outerwear, bras, swimwear, sportswear, loungewear, T-shirts, etc.
2. **Knitted Accessories:** e.g., hats, socks, gloves, bedsheets, towels, tablecloths, etc.
3. **Knitted Fabrics:** e.g., lace, woolen fabrics, etc.
**IV. Functional Requirements**
The functions are described below, divided into five major categories: Basic Functions, Protective Functions, Comfort Functions, Easy-Care Functions, and Hygiene Functions.

1. Other requirements such as size or specification, intrinsic quality, and appearance quality shall be implemented according to the provisions of the relevant knitted product standards.

**VII. Instructions for Use**
1. Adult products shall follow GB/T 5296.4 and GB 18401; children's products shall follow GB/T 5296.4 and GB 31701.
2. The number of this document and the number of the relevant knitted product standard shall be indicated.
* Example: Product Implementation Standard: FZ/T 73020-2019.
* Functional Standard: GB/T 41788-2022.
3. Size: Implemented according to the provisions of the relevant knitted product standard.
4. The specific names of the multifunctional features shall be indicated. If the product is partially multifunctional, the corresponding functional areas shall be indicated.
* Example: Functional Categories: Antibacterial function, Deodorant function, Anti-mite function.
5. Non-durable functional products shall be clearly indicated, such as disposable waterproof products or non-durable waterproof products. For insect-repellent functional products, the chemical name of the effective functional ingredient shall be indicated.
* Example: Insect-repellent ingredient: Permethrin.
6. It is advisable to indicate functional information according to the provisions of the relevant national or industrial test methods and evaluation standards.

适用于多功能针织产品。
多功能：具有两种或两种以上的功能（服装、饰品的常规保护和装饰性能除外）。
多功能针织产品：具有两种及以上功能的面料且其占总面积70%及以上的针织产品，或是由两种及以上不同种类功能织物拼接而成且其面积之和占总面积70%及以上的针织产品。
注1：若产品为多层，则各层功能累计达到两种及以上，且各层功能性针织面积占总面积70%及以上。
注2：多功能针织产品通常包含针织服装、针织饰品、针织面料等。
按产品用途通常可分为以下三类：
1、针织服装类，如：内衣、外衣、文胸、泳装、运动服、家居服、T恤衫等。
2、针织饰品类，如：帽子、袜子、手套、床单、毛巾、桌布等。
3、针织面料类，如：花边、呢绒面料等。
功能性要求
下面将分成基本功能、防护功能、舒适性功能、易维护功能、卫生保健型功能五大类功能性进行说明。

注1：多功能针织产品各功能之间存在协调性和抵消性。
注2：随着技术的发展，新型功能及其国家标准或者行业标准检测方法不断出现，是作为GB/T 41788-2022的扩充。
注3：功能性项目，若标注的产品标准与GB/T 41788-2022有重复，试验方法选择较严指标对应的测试方法进行，且按较严指标判定。
化学物质控制要求
应符合GB 18401和GB 31701的要求，同时功能类别的多功能针织产品还应符合下表要求。
其他要求
1、号型或规格、内在质量、外观质量等其他要求均按相关针织产品标准规定执行。
2、分等规定按相关针织产品标准规定执行。
使用说明
1、成人产品按GB/T 5296.4和GB 18401执行，儿童产品按GB/T 5296.4和GB 31701执行。
2、应标明本文件的编号和相关针织产品标准的编号。
如：产品执行标椎：FZ/T 73020-2019。
功能性标准：GB/T 41788-2022。
3、号型：按相关针织产品标准规定执行。
4、应注明多功能的具体功能名称，若产品为局部多功能的，应注明相应功能的部位。
如：功能类别：抗菌功能、消臭功能、防螨功能。
5、非耐久性功能产品应明示，如一次性防水产品或非耐久性防水产品。防蚊功能性产品应明示其有效功能成分的化学名称，如防蚊成分：氯菊酯。
6、功能性宜按照国家或行业相应测试方法及评价标准中的规定标示相关信息。
如：防紫外线功能按GB/T 18830-2009要求，需标注：
①UPF 40+或UPF 50+。
②长期使用以及在拉伸或潮湿的情况下，该产品所提供的防护有可能减少。
