Designed and manufactured in accordance with GB/T 4610-2008 "Plastics — Determination of ignition temperature by the hot air furnace method", this instrument fully complies with GB 4610-2008 and ISO 871:2006. It is used to assist in testing the combustion and flame retardant properties of plastic materials.
Test Principle (GB 4610-2008):
The specimen is heated to different temperatures in the heating chamber of a hot air furnace. A small flame is applied directly to the opening above the furnace to ignite the escaping gases to determine the Flash Ignition Temperature. The Spontaneous Ignition Temperature is determined using the same method but without the application of an external flame.

Furnace Tube: Custom ceramic tube, Inner Diameter 100mm ± 5mm, Length 240mm ± 20mm, Temperature Resistance ≥ 750℃.
Inner Tube: Inner Diameter 75mm ± 2mm, Length 240mm ± 20mm, Temperature Resistance ≥ 750℃.
Igniter: Butane igniter with adjustable flame height of 10mm - 20mm.
Temperature Range: Furnace temperature can be stabilized at any point between 150℃ and 750℃.
Flow Control: Equipped with a flowmeter for precise control of gas flow.
Insulation: Insulation layer consists of >60mm thick insulating mineral wool, wrapped in stainless steel.
Sensors: 3 thermocouples and temperature meters to detect furnace and specimen temperatures.
Specimen Container: Made of stainless steel.
Timer: Precision 0.01s, Recording range: 0~999.9s (Presettable).
Control: Automatic temperature control program.
