【Scope of Application】This instrument is used to determine the volume percentage of oxygen required during the combustion of polymers. The Oxygen Index (OI) value is defined as the minimum oxygen concentration in an oxygen-nitrogen mixture required to just sustain the combustion of a specimen (after ignition) for a length of 50mm or a duration of 180s.

【Instrument Features】
Full-Color Touch Screen Control: Simply set the oxygen concentration value on the screen. The program automatically adjusts to the oxygen balance and emits a beep sound for confirmation, eliminating the hassle of manual adjustment.
High Precision Control: Utilizes a stepping proportional valve to greatly improve flow control accuracy.
Closed-Loop Control: During testing, if the oxygen concentration drifts, the program automatically adjusts it back to the target value. This overcomes the limitation of traditional testers that cannot adjust concentration during the test, significantly improving testing precision.

Specimen Holders: Suitable for soft and rigid plastics, various building materials, textiles, fire doors, etc.
Ignition System: Propane (Butane) ignition system. The ignition nozzle is a metal tube with a tail end nozzle of inner diameter Φ2±1mm, freely bendable. It can be inserted into the combustion cylinder to ignite the specimen.
Flame Length: 16 ± 4mm (Adjustable from 5mm to 60mm).
Gas Supply: Industrial Nitrogen and Oxygen, Purity >99%. (Note: Gas source and connectors are supplied by the user).
Tips:For the Oxygen Index Tester test, one cylinder each of industrial-grade Oxygen and Nitrogen (purity ≥98%) is required. Since these gases are classified as hazardous materials for transportation, they cannot be provided as accessories with the instrument and must be purchased from a local gas station. (Please purchase from a reputable local gas station to ensure gas purity).

Specimen Holders:
Self-Supporting Holder: Can be fixed on the axis of the combustion cylinder and clamp the specimen vertically.
Non-Self-Supporting Holder: Can fix two vertical edges of the specimen on a frame (Optional / Applied to textiles and other soft materials that cannot self-support).
