Scope of Application

【Operating Instructions】

    This apparatus is used for testing the circuit integrity of cables and optical fibers when subjected to a flame of not less than 750℃ (with controlled heat output) under a separate fire supply test.

Applicable Scope:
This apparatus is used for testing the circuit integrity of cables and optical fibers when subjected to a flame of not less than 750℃ (with controlled heat output) under a separate fire supply test.

Technical Parameters:

  1. Combustion Chamber: The chamber is constructed from suitable materials fixed onto an angle iron frame to form a complete cube. Internal dimensions: 3m × 3m × 3m, totaling 27 cubic meters. Available in either a brick wall structure or a steel plate structure, selectable by the customer. (Note: If the brick wall structure is selected, the customer is responsible for completing the masonry work).

  2. Sample Support: The sample is supported by two or three metal rings. The support device is horizontally fixed, with one end fixed and the other end movable. The inner diameter of the metal rings is 150mm, made from round steel bars with a diameter of (10 ± 2)mm.

  3. Combustion Device:
    (1) Burner: A ribbon propane gas burner with a Venturi mixer, featuring a nozzle with a nominal length of 500mm and a width of 15mm. It has three staggered rows of drilled holes (1.32mm in diameter with a center-to-center distance of 3.2mm). The nozzle is positioned at least 200mm above the chamber floor and at least 300mm from any chamber wall.
    (2) Flow Meters: Air flow meter: 150L/min; Propane flow meter: 8L/min.
    (3) Burner Control System: Comprises pressure regulating valves, a piezoelectric igniter, a flameout protection device, temperature control thermocouples, a gas source (to be provided by the user), control valves, an ignition device, gas pipelines, flow meters, a Venturi mixer, ball valves, air pipelines, and a compressed air cylinder (to be provided by the user).
    (4) Timer: Adjustable from 0 to 99.99s/m/h.
    (5) Ignition Device: Automatic ignition.
    (6) Temperature Controller: Consists of a two-channel temperature monitoring system with a temperature range adjustable from 0 to 1000℃. The flame conditions are achieved by adjusting the ratio of gas to air, with real-time temperature displayed on the touch screen.

  4. Circuit Load:
    (1) Test Transformer: Three-phase 6kV.
    (2) Test Voltage: 0.6/1.0kV.
    (3) Test Current: Standard requirement is 0.25A.
