Scope of Application
【Operating Instructions】
Applicable Scope:
The determination of smoke density is a crucial aspect in evaluating the combustion characteristics of cables or optical cables, which directly impacts personnel evacuation and firefighting accessibility. This instrument is primarily used to measure the smoke concentration released by cables and optical cables under specific combustion conditions, verifying their smoke density generation. Under both flaming and non-flaming combustion conditions, light transmittance serves as a criterion for comparing different cables or optical cables under specific conditions.
Compliance Standards:
Complies with GB/T 17651.1~2 and IEC 61034-1~2 "Measurement of smoke density of cables or optical cables burning under defined conditions" - Part 1: Test Apparatus, and Part 2: Test Procedure and Requirements.
Instrument Features:
Dual Operation Modes: Can be operated via the touch screen or controlled on a computer, with the ability to switch between modes arbitrarily. (Computer and printer are to be provided by the user; host computer software is supplied with the equipment).
Simple framework structure.
Equipped with an independent ignition system for enhanced safety.
One-touch operation for simplicity and ease of use.
Independently developed software.
Technical Parameters:
Combustion Chamber: Internal dimensions: 3m × 3m × 3m, totaling 27 cubic meters. Available in either brick wall structure or steel plate structure, selectable by the customer.
Photometric Device:
A. Light Source: Imported quartz halogen lamp; Nominal power: 100W; Nominal voltage: 12V; Nominal luminous flux: 2000—3000 Lm.
B. Receiver: Silicon photocell. 0% light transmittance indicates no light passing through; 100% light transmittance indicates light passing through completely without obstruction.
Standard Fire Source:
A. Fire Source: 1.0L alcohol (to be provided by the user).
B. Alcohol Pan: Made of stainless steel; Bottom dimensions: 210 × 110 mm; Top dimensions: 240 × 140 mm; Height: 80 mm.
Smoke Mixing: Utilizes a desktop fan to ensure uniform smoke distribution within the combustion chamber.
Blank Test: Burning an alcohol lamp to bring the temperature of the combustion chamber to 25 ± 5℃.
Temperature Measuring Device: A temperature sensor is installed on the inner side of the door, 1.5m above the ground and 0.5m away from the wall.
Includes a set of light transmittance measurement software capable of outputting curves and reports.
Total Power: 4 kW (220V).
(Smoke Density): 0—924, with six automatic gear shifts.
Measurement Range: 0.0001—100%.
Measurement Accuracy: ±3%.
Operating Voltage: 200—240V, 50Hz.
Ambient Temperature: Room temperature to 40℃.
Relative Humidity: ≤ 85%.
Working Environment: During operation, the instrument should be protected from direct strong light and forced air flow.
